Enoch Cree Nation Interpretive Centre

The Enoch Cree First Nation Interpretive Center is envisioned as a vital cultural landmark rooted in storytelling, teaching, and intergenerational learning. Located on Treaty 6 territory just west of Edmonton, the project draws inspiration from the local landscape and Cree teachings, offering an immersive experience of Cree worldview and lifeways. The design integrates indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, exhibit areas, and flexible rooms for language revitalization, ceremony, and community events. Deep engagement with Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and youth has guided the architectural response, resulting in a space that embodies wâhkôhtowin — the Cree concept of kinship and relationship to all beings.
