Changing Horses NFP Supportive Housing Complex

(Under Construction)

This project adopts a "Housing First" approach, providing stable housing to homeless individuals to allow them to move forward in their lives. The design is rooted in Blackfoot (Niitsitapi) cultural values, emphasizing community integration and healing. It features eight housing units surrounding a central gathering building, fostering a sense of place and community.

The complex is designed with sustainability in mind, utilizing energy-efficient prefabricated Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) to ensure high performance and ease of construction on this rural site. The overall goal is to offer a supportive, secure living environment that also incorporates cultural teachings and collective healing processes.
