Architectural Associate
(Calgary, AB and Phoenix, AZ)
Full-time
• English (Required)
• US work authorization (Required)
• Bachelor’s (Required)
• Revit: 2 years (Required)
• AutoCAD: 3 years (Preferred)
• InDD 3 years (Preferred)
Responsibilities:
– Prepares design and construction documents under the supervision of experienced staff with minimal direction– Prepares planning, building and health permit submittals
– Assists with graphic (InDD) presentations
– Demonstrate experience coordinating with other consultants.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this position, you must meet the following criteria:– Graduated with an Architecture degree or related programs
– Minimum of three years of architectural experience
– Experience working under a licensed architect in a design or production role preferred
– Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
– Microsoft Office proficiency
– Adobe Acrobat / Bluebeam proficiency
– Self-motivated with a high level of accountability
– Excellent written and spoken communication skills
– Attention to detail and solid understanding of construction means and methods
– Developing presentation and project management skills
Schedule:

Project Architect
Tawaw Architecture Collective is based in Phoenix, AZ and soon to open a new office in Calgary, AB (www.tawarc.com). We work on projects in Canada and USA. We collaborate with international firms. We work on cultural centers, higher education, K-12 projects, sustainable design and some innovative housing (tiny homes). Feel free to work from home until Covid clears (Sept); then join our new Tempe or Calgary office. We offer flex days and one work from home day per week.
Project Architect:
– 8-10 years’ experience
– Revit
– Responsible for consultant coordination and development of CD’s
– Skilled in building detailing
– Self-directed work ethic
– Managing junior team members
– Great communication and client relations skills
– Accredited Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree
– Registered architect preferred

Project Administrative Assistant
OFFICE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
– Handle day to day activities in the office such as scanning, filing, organizing hard copy and electronic data
– Support activities of Managing Director or Project Managers using shared drives such as google docs and overseeing document compliance
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING SUPPORT
– Research opportunities that are in alignment with the firm’s vision, values, and capabilities
– Assist with website / email communication and mailing list upkeep
– Liaise with Managing Director to develop, create and design content, profiles, and marketing materials
– Create, populate, and maintain a CRM platform for office client and opportunity tracking
– Produce proposal packets via InDesign or Google Slides by coordinating internal and external resources through communications and information exchanges with the team
– Organize and coordinate with sister Companies with documents and file shares working remotely in the office
REQUIREMENTS:
– Must be dependable, reliable, and ethical

– Must understand and protect confidentiality, as well as maintaining privacy of internal and external information
– Must show creativity, initiative, and good judgment

Qualifications:
– Degree in journalism, business writing or American Indian Studies
– Understanding / knowledge of American Indian Studies
