Architectural Associate
(Calgary, AB and Phoenix, AZ)

– Prepares design and construction documents under the supervision of experienced staff with minimal direction
– Prepares planning, building and health permit submittals
– Assists with graphic (InDD) presentations
– Demonstrate experience coordinating with other consultants.


To succeed in this position, you must meet the following criteria:

– Graduated with an Architecture degree or related programs
– Minimum of three years of architectural experience
– Experience working under a licensed architect in a design or production role preferred
– Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
– Microsoft Office proficiency
– Adobe Acrobat / Bluebeam proficiency
– Self-motivated with a high level of accountability
– Excellent written and spoken communication skills
– Attention to detail and solid understanding of construction means and methods
– Developing presentation and project management skills

Project Architect

We work on cultural centers, higher education, K-12 projects, sustainable design and some innovative housing (tiny homes). Project Architect:

– 8-10 years’ experience
– Revit

Project Administrative Assistant

We are a collaborative-focused, interdisciplinary professional practice encompassing Architecture, Planning, Interior Design and Engagement. We are looking for a highly motivated individual willing to take on responsibility, multi-task and grow with our integrative team while sharing a passion for quality design and environmental excellence. The Project Administrative Assistant will assist the Managing Director with day-to-day responsibilities related to keeping the office running smoothly. A minimum of 2 years’ experience is preferred. Ideal candidates will be self-starter, take initiative, have a strong work ethic, and must possess a demonstrated ability to organize and deliver results with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required, as well as InDesign. The position requires on-site presence and working in the physical office day-to-day. Must live in Phoenix, Arizona. We are located in Tempe, AZ.


– Handle day to day activities in the office such as scanning, filing, organizing hard copy and electronic data

– Support activities of Managing Director or Project Managers using shared drives such as google docs and overseeing document compliance


– Research opportunities that are in alignment with the firm’s vision, values, and capabilities

– Assist with website / email communication and mailing list upkeep

– Liaise with Managing Director to develop, create and design content, profiles, and marketing materials

– Create, populate, and maintain a CRM platform for office client and opportunity tracking

– Produce proposal packets via InDesign or Google Slides by coordinating internal and external resources through communications and information exchanges with the team

– Organize and coordinate with sister Companies with documents and file shares working remotely in the office

(American Indian Studies focus)

Tawaw Architecture Collective is based in Phoenix (www.tawarc.com). We specialize in Indigenous architecture in Canada and USA. We are looking for a writer who understands current issues in American Indian Studies. Preference will be given to writers with an understanding of arts or architecture. We need someone to oversee all written work in our firm, from request for proposals to cover letters to firm profiles to web content (blog, website edits etc). We are working from home until Covid clears (June/July); then moving into a Tempe office. We offer flex days.


– Degree in journalism, business writing or American Indian Studies
– Understanding / knowledge of American Indian Studies
