Kevin is a member of the Navajo Nation, hailing from the Four Corners area, with a profound passion for design rooted in his cultural heritage. Inspired by his grandmothers, who are Navajo rug weavers, Kevin’s love for the arts has naturally extended into his pursuit of architecture. He
is currently completing his Master’s in Architecture at Arizona State University, where he also obtained his undergraduate degree in the same field. Belonging to the Tabaahi (The Water’s Edge People), Tachii’nii (The Red Running into the Water People), Ashiihi (The Salt People), and Kinlichii’nii (The Red House People) clans, Kevin’s long-term vision is to advocate for greater representation of Indigenous architects. He is committed to encouraging Indigenous youth to follow their passions in the arts and design, just as he has been inspired by his own heritage. Outside of school and work, Kevin enjoys exploring the landscape, creating sketches, cooking new meals, watching films, and actively participating in his community. He has also developed an interest in graphic design, further broadening his artistic pursuits.
