Urban Indigenous Youth and Education Project

This project, located in Vancouver, BC, is dedicated to supporting the urban Indigenous community, focusing on youth and education. The development is rooted in the values and cultural narratives of Indigenous communities, with an emphasis on decolonized, Indigenous-led design. The project aims to foster a sense of belonging, integrating Indigenous art, language, and cultural representations.
The design promotes multi-generational living, with spaces for child care, youth programs, post-secondary education, and affordable housing. The inclusion of communal spaces encourages intergenerational interaction, enhancing the cultural and economic well-being of urban Indigenous people.
