Moodie House

2011

The Moodie House was designed for a couple with a large extended family including multiple grandchildren. Set in the prairie landscape, the home aims to blend in with the natural environment. Designed to ensure comfort within Canada’s long winters, while reducing energy expenditures, the home was built with structural insulated panels (SIPs), a high performance building system. The panels consist of an insulating foam core sandwiched between two structural facings. The  homes super insulated wall assemblies and heated floors ensure comfort year round.
